ABOUT ME

My name is Matti Zell, I'm 23 years old and a big part of my life revolves around fashion.
On this page, you’ll find a curated mix of pieces I’ve sewn myself, alongside selected designer and vintage garments.

There is a shop section where selected items are available for purchase, as well as a collection archive showcasing key pieces from my wardrobe. You can also request garments for styling or editorial use.

In the projects and events section, I share an overview of past work, including pop-ups, collaborations, and other creative projects I’ve been part of.
THE PASSION

Fashion plays a central role in my life.
With one grandmother having taught sewing classes for 25 years, the other’s father owning a fabric store, and my mother working in the fashion industry, fashion has been part of my heritage from the very beginning.
SEWING

I first started sewing when I was 13, teaching myself everything through trial and error. During the Covid pandemic, I began dedicating much more time to it and sold my first handmade and tailored garments.

Since then, I’ve created countless patterns and brought them to life through jackets, pants, hoodies, and more. My process is entirely self-taught and driven by experimentation — every piece I make is the result of learning by doing and a curiosity to push boundaries in design.
THE COLLECTION

Even as a kid, I loved collecting snapbacks and cared a lot about dressing well. In 2016, I got into streetwear brands like "Supreme" and "Yeezy", but it only took a few months before I became more drawn to creative, avant-garde, and artisanal fashion.

Over the past few years, I’ve built a wardrobe that now includes nearly 950 pieces, with a strong focus on both avant-garde and artisanal brands.

Today, my collection is made up of roughly one-third self-made pieces, one-third designer items, and one-third finds that I simply thought were special or interesting.
