Carol Christian Poell is an Austrian-born designer (b. Linz, 1966) whose Milan label C.C.P. Srl is known for its own material-coding system. CUBS-PTC denotes cordovan horse leather – taken from the horse's hindquarters ("culatta") – prepared for garment-dyeing, prized for its dense grain and the deep, slightly uneven color that results once the finished piece is dyed.
