Poème Bohémien was founded in 2005 by Italian designer Nicolò Ceschi Bellini, who built the label around what he calls "rare chic": hippie-era history and old literature worked into the eccentric spirit of the 1960s and 70s, then translated into rugged, heavily washed leather pieces that still read elegant and refined. This pair is cut from horse culatta, a dense, prized leather the brand saves for its higher-end pieces, and originally retailed at 1,150 EUR. It has a side zip with the teeth left exposed, a low block heel, and a pointed toe that sits close to the foot. The creasing across the vamp comes from that washed, lived-in leather treatment, not from damage. The sole has some honest mileage on it and could use a rubber resole, which is already factored into the price.
